The Public Security Police (PSP) nabbed a public servant last week for driving under the influence (DUI) when PSP police officers stopped him at about 4:48 a.m. in Avenida Dr. Sun Yat-Sen in a random police check, PSP spokesman Lam Keong said during a regular press conference yesterday.

According to Lam, the suspect is a 50 year-old surnamed Ng. The spokesman told The Macau Post Daily that Ng works in a position under the Secretariat for Security. The spokesman did not elaborate further on Ng’s job information.

The police gave Ng a breathalyser which he failed as it showed that his blood alcohol concentration was 1.24 grammes of alcohol per litre of blood, according to Lam.
