An exhibition entitled “Police officers fighting the pandemic”, organised by the Public Security Police (PSP) and supported by the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ), shows local pupils’ artworks at the Youth Art Exhibition and Performance Hall in Tap Seac.
According to information provided by the DSEDJ website, the Public Security Police organised a colouring and painting competition which was aimed at allowing pupils to explore their creative potential by depicting, from a visual art perspective, local police officers’ persistence in fighting the pandemic.
The competition collected about 1,750 artworks from primary and secondary local schools covering topics such as public security, traffic and immigration. The pupils’ artworks show how the police and citizens are working together to protect the community during the pandemic and spread more positive energy among citizens.
Another aim of the competition was to urge local youths to pay more attention to COVID-19 prevention measures and to deepen their understanding of police officers’ work.
A number of award-winning and shortlisted works are exhibited until Sunday at the Youth Art Exhibition and Performance Hall in Praça do Tap Seac. It opens from noon to 8 p.m. daily except Mondays. Admission is free.
A PSP notepad souvenir is available at the venue for free while stock lasts.
As part of the government’s COVID-19 epidemic prevention measures, all visitors entering the venue must wear a facemask, have their temperature checked and present a digital health code.
