Resort operator Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) announced in a statement earlier this week that it has cooperated with ICBC (Macau) in launching half a dozen “ICBC Galaxy Macau Credit Cards”.

According to the GEG statement, a launching ceremony was held on Tuesday to present the cards, which was attended by various guests such as GEG Director Philip Cheng Yee Sing, GEG Chief Operating Officer Kevin Kelley, ICBC (Macau) Chief Executive Officer Xu Keen and ICBC Chief Executive Officer Felix Chan Kam Lun.

The six types of cards launched are the “ICBC Galaxy Macau UnionPay Dual Currency Diamond Card, ICBC Galaxy Macau UnionPay Dual Currency Platinum Card, ICBC Galaxy Macau UnionPay Virtual Card, ICBC Galaxy Macau Visa Signature Card, ICBC Galaxy Macau Visa Platinum Card and ICBC Galaxy Macau Visa Virtual Card”.

The statement pointed out that the joint virtual credit cards launched “have replaced the physical credit cards with an independent, complete and secure electronic card number”, with the online application process and approval only taking one minute.

The statement noted that the cardholders are entitled to enjoy three “exclusive privileges for an unlimited experience”, which include Welcome Bonus & Spending Rewards, up to 20 percent off at selected outlets of StarWorld Hotel, Galaxy Macau and Broadway Macau, and “earn Galaxy Rewards Points for every dollar you spend anywhere in the world”. Cardholders can also use the DragonPass VIP lounge service at mainland China’s airports and high-speed railway stations.

The ICBC Galaxy Macau Credit Card also supports ICBC ePay, which can be done by bundling it to the credit card at ICBC Mobile Banking, the statement added.

Moreover, it can be used in local shops with “Simple Pay”, also allowing users to enjoy payment privileges such as “random instant discounts and spending bonuses offered by ICBC (Macau)”.
