The Macau Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) forecast in a statement yesterday that the temperature will drop to as low as 8 degrees Celsius in the mornings of early next week.
According to the statement, as a cold front is approaching the South China Sea tomorrow night the temperature is expected to drop significantly on Saturday. The weather station also forecast that the mercury will drop to as low as between eight and 10 degrees Celsius in the mornings of early next week.
The statement said that the weather today and tomorrow is expected to be windy with occasional showers, adding that the cloudy and rainy weather is expected to last until next Wednesday. The statement pointed out that the rain and wind could make the apparent temperature feel lower than the mercury shows.
The bureau warned residents that the temperature could be even lower than expected, urging residents to wear warm clothing and pay attention to the weather forecast.
