CCAC reopens Branch Office in Taipa

The Commission Against Corruption (CCAC) announced in a statement yesterday that it has reopened its Branch Office in Taipa after finishing the interior renovation.

The reopening ceremony was officiated over by Commissioner Against Corruption Chan Tsz King, the statement noted.

The statement pointed out that the Branch Office will be “re-positioned”, adding that it will be “an integrity education base for young people and civic associations”, and will strengthen communication with residents in the area. The “probity culture” in the community, the statement underlined, is also to be enhanced.

Moreover, the statement underlined that the refurbished facilities include a reception desk and room to submit complaints. A new multimedia exhibition area that has an “investigator interactive experience zone” was also added and has a simulated statement-taking room and a simulated identification parade room, evidence display, weapon display, as well as some augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) games and “investigator training motion games”.

The special training activities and interactive multimedia facilities are expected to enable participants to better understand the commission’s work and the community’s “probity culture”.

The statement noted that groups and schools that wish to set up visits and seminar appointments can call 2836 3636.

The Branch Offices’ opening hours in Areia Preta and Taipa have been adjusted to 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. from Mondays to Thursdays, and 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. on Fridays. The addresses, phone numbers and fax numbers of both offices remain unchanged, the statement noted.
