Power utility CEM said in a statement that its Ambassadors Team and the General Volunteers Association of Macau (GVAM) visited Pou Tai Un Temple in Taipa and provided hair-cutting services to 80 seniors yesterday to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Yesterday marked the second consecutive year of the visits, the statement noted.
CEM Executive Committee Advisor Geoffrey Chan, 10 CEM Ambassadors, and GVAM youth volunteers assisted in the venue set up under Pou Tai Un representatives’ guidance, according to the statement. The seniors were given haircuts by GVAM volunteers, while CEM Ambassadors chatted with them.
The statement said that the seniors had looked forward to the visit and chatted about the recent events in their lives with the ambassadors, who also had to learn the desired hairstyles prior to the haircutting services, which lasted around 10 minutes per person.
Low-sugar healthy malt mooncakes and CEM 50th anniversary facemasks, the statement noted, were then gifted to the seniors for the Mid-Autumn Festival.
