The Tap Siac Craft Market is slated to take place from November 17-20 and November 24-27 in Praça do Tap Seac, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) said in a statement yesterday.
Tap Siac is the bureau’s alternative spelling of Tap Seac.
The craft market’s opening ceremony, the statement noted, will be held at 6 p.m. next Thursday and will feature Hong Kong singer Rocky Chan (陳樂基) as a performing guest. He is the band KillerSoap’s lead singer and won “Golden Song Award of the Year” with “Half Moon Serenade” in season 3 of The Voice of China in 2014.
With over 100 handicraft and creative gastronomy stalls, the craft market will be held each Thursday to Sunday for two consecutive weeks, four days each week, according to the statement. It will feature known intellectual property and design brands containing local cultural heritage elements such as clothing and accessories, and handicrafts.
The statement added that there will also be food stalls and music performances from local and mainland singers.
Moreover, the statement said that there will be handicraft workshops throughout the event, advising applicants to attend them on time. Those arriving 10 minutes after the workshops start will be replaced by on-site applicants on the waiting list, the statement underlined. Tickets will be distributed to on-site applicants at the venue 30 minutes before each workshop and those interested can arrive earlier for a spot on the list. They must pay an application fee of 50 patacas per workshop on-site.
The craft market will be held from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the weekends. For more details, visit www.craftmarket.gov.mo, www.facebook.com/MacaoCraftMarket or the IC website at www.icm.gov.mo.
