Luxury travel retailer DFS Group reopened its T Galleria Beauty by DFS store at Galaxy Macau resort in Cotai on Friday, according to a statement by the company earlier this week.
The store is located at The Promenade Shops and features over 70 brands across skincare, makeup, fragrances and haircare, including renowned premium skincare and 10 premium fragrance brands, the statement noted.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony and VIP event were held on Friday, which was attended by brand and media partners, social media influencers and DFS and Galaxy representatives.
The store, the statement added, is the group’s “most digital store yet”, with features such as DFS’s first in-store livestreaming studio and an experiential beauty bar featuring the Meitu Magic Mirror to virtually try on products.
There are also exclusive DFS brand line-ups including EviDenS de Beauté and Malin+Goetz in The Beauty Collective corner, which showcases top new beauty brands while providing an incubator space for emerging brands, the statement underlined. A haircare corner, meanwhile, showcases exclusive brands such as Davines and Christophe Robin.
The treatment cabins from La Prairie, Valmont’s only Macau spa location and DFS’ Beauty Concierge enables customers to access beauty services such as the skin analysis service Meitu Eve. Moreover, aside from having creative workshops throughout December, the statement said that the store also features the Holiday Garden pop-up store.
The Galaxy Macau store is the first “green” store within the DFS network that is focused on reducing carbon emissions and was built using sustainable materials in line with the LVMH Initiatives For the Environment (LIFE) programme, the statement noted.
DFS Group Managing Director Johan Pretorius was quoted by the statement as saying that the group is “thrilled” to welcome customers back to the “newly-imagined store”, while Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) Chief Operating Officer Kevin Kelley said that the company is excited to continue its partnership with DFS.
The statement said that customers visiting the store until November 30 can receive a gift. Moreover, every Friday and Saturday until the end of the month, welcome food and drinks, as well as complimentary makeup services will be offered to store visitors, in addition to other gifts and offers.
DFS Group is a Hong Kong-based travel retailer of luxury products. In 1960, US entrepreneurs Charles Feeney and Robert Warren Miller founded Tourists International, which later became Duty Free Shoppers (DFS), in Hong Kong.
