Local artist Celia Si (施明珠) is showcasing her works in “Poetry of Water Tune” – Art Oil Painting Exhibition at Café Voyage on Rua do Padre António Roliz.
The exhibition is the third of the Ark-Association of Macau Art’s annual “Art Quintet” series, which is held between May and September, according to a recent statement from the association.
The statement noted that the series features exhibitions by five local artists inspired by the “Five Elements” – Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth, and aims to showcase their creativity in each of the elements through various media and interpretations.
With water as its creative concept, the current exhibition aims to show the “diversity and richness of water in art”, noting that the element is indispensable, according to the statement.
The exhibition presents different “interpretations and performances” of water, aiming to enable those viewing the works to feel the “beauty, mystery, temperature and vitality of water” in art, according to the statement.
Si, the statement said, has been engaged in art creation and art education for many years. She has won the “Excellent Teacher Guidance Award” and has participated in over 10 annual art exhibitions and two solo exhibitions in Macau, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and the mainland. Her painting style is mostly combined with bright colours and geometric patterns, according to the statement.
The exhibition runs until August 13 and is open daily from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is free.
