The Macau Jazz Promotion Association (MJPA) marked another milestone as it celebrated the 11th year of its “Saturday Night Jazz” gig series. This month’s “Saturday Night Jazz” took place at the Rui Cunha Foundation gallery on Avenida da Praia Grande on Saturday.
The concert was divided into two parts. The first segment featured local singer Lam Si Man aka Eva Tana, accompanied by MJPA musicians, who delivered a performance of bossa nova and other Brazilian music genres.
In the second part of the concert, the newly reformed Macau Jazz Orchestra, led by local trombonist Gregory Wong Weng Hou, took the stage. The jazz ensemble performed their renditions of classic jazz big band pieces.
