The Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) is set to unveil its first “mega promotional event” in Indonesia with a four-day Experience Macau roadshow in Jakarta, which will run from Thursday through Sunday, according to an MGTO statement yesterday.
Indonesia, the statement noted, ranked as the fourth foreign visitor market for Macau, according to first-quarter visitor statistics.
The statement said that the upcoming event, themed “EXPERIENCE MACAU”, will take place at Jakarta’s Central Park Mall and aims to showcase Macau’s “tourism+” offerings.
Booths run by Air Macau and the city’s six integrated resort (IR) operators will also be set up to showcase their facilities and new offerings, among others, while offers on various tourism products will be presented by nine local travel agencies in Indonesia, according to the statement.
The event will also feature an interactive game zone and photo moments with a chance to meet MGTO mascot Mak Mak.
Meanwhile, the statement added that tomorrow, the “Macao Tourism + MICE Product Updates Seminar & Travel Mart” will take place at Pullman Jakarta Central Park, aiming to introduce members of the Indonesian travel trade to Macau’s tourism and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) trends, while a networking session with their Macau counterparts will also be held.
