The government’s financial reserves reached 616.4 billion patacas at the end of last year, an increase of six percent from the 581.4 billion patacas at the end of 2023, according to a notice published by the Macau Monetary Authority (AMCM) in the Official Gazette (BO) yesterday.

However, the 616.4 billion patacas represented a decrease of 0.3 percent from the 618.3 billion patacas at the end of November last year.

The total amount of the financial reserves at the end of November in 2024 was published in an AMCM notice last month.

Macau’s financial reserves amounted to the record high of 669.6 billion patacas at the end of February in 2021, according to the gazette.
