Airport operator CAM announced in a statement yesterday that it recorded a pre-tax profit of 383 million patacas in 2024, the highest post-pandemic figure.
According to the statement, the operator, Macau International Airport Company Limited, convened its Annual General Assembly Ordinary Meeting yesterday where several reports such as its 2024 annual report and financial report were approved.
The statement noted that the airport recorded a total of 7.64 million passengers as well as nearly 60,000 flight movements in 2024, both up over 40 percent from 2023.
The statement also noted that the airport reached cargo volume of 108,000 tonnes, an increase of nearly 70 percent from 2023.
The statement said that the company’s total annual revenue amounted to 1.478 billion patacas in 2024, an increase of 24 percent from 2023.
The statement also said that to address the current funding requirements for the airport’s ongoing reclamation and expansion project, yesterday’s meeting decided that new ordinary shares will be issued later this year to increase the company’s capital by 500 million patacas, laying a solid foundation for the airport’s long-term development.
