The opening ceremony of the National Security Education Exhibition held yesterday marked the 10th anniversary of the National Security Education Day and the eighth consecutive year of the exhibition. Following the opening ceremony, awards were presented for the “My Vision of Public Security” essay and short video competitions, with senior guests handing out the main prizes before visiting the exhibition.
Yesterday marked the country’s 10th “National Security Education Day”, and the local government and Liaison Office co-hosted a special exhibition themed “National Security Education for All: A Decade of Deepening and Consolidation.”
The exhibition showcases explanatory texts, over 500 photographs, and various videos that highlight the recent achievements in national development. It emphasises the progress made in national security education over the past decade, reflecting the local government’s commitment to implementing President Xi Jinping’s key speeches from last year’s visit. The exhibition further promotes the principle of “patriots governing Macau” and underscores the importance of ensuring high-quality development through strong security measures.
In addition to the exhibition and various competitions, the local government, in partnership with the Liaison Office, will launch a series of national security promotional activities. The initiatives will feature collaborative efforts together with Zhuhai and Hengqin to illuminate city landmarks, the establishment of a national security education base for young people, mobile advertisements on the LRT and buses, and the issuance of a commemorative envelope celebrating the 10th anniversary of National Security Education Day.
According to the event’s dedicated website, the exhibition comprises seven key sections:
1. National development achieves remarkable new milestones;
2. Innovating and advancing, deepening and consolidating, igniting a new wave of national security promotion and education;
3. Diligent and enterprising, keeping up with the times, achieving new developments in security areas;
4. Caring and hopeful, crafting a vision for the ‘One Country, Two Systems’ principle;
5. Heeding the call, taking responsibility, and promoting social prosperity and stability;
6. Seizing opportunities, fostering win-win cooperation, and reaching new heights in collaborative development;
7. Uniting forces, embracing harmony, and pioneering a new era for national security education.
