According to a recent statement from the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), the Tap Siac Craft Market will be open again from Thursday (May Day) through Sunday, showcasing an array of cultural and creative products, with over 90 percent of the stall operators different to the previous week.
The statement highlighted that this two-weekend edition of the market features more than 200 stalls, offering “distinctive handicrafts and creative gastronomy” from cultural practitioners across Macau, the mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Thailand. Attendees can expect a diverse range of crafted products, including daily necessities, clothing, accessories, and natural handmade items.
The market’s first weekend segment took place last week.
The statement also said that in addition to shopping, the market will host creative handicraft workshops where participants can learn how to make their own crafts. Live music performances by singers from Macau and elsewhere aim to further enhance the festive atmosphere.
The Tap Siac Craft Market runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
