An upcoming English-language talk entitled “Blue wave generation: surfing without limits” will be held at the Rui Cunha Foundation (FRC) next Wednesday, focusing on how excessive screen time impacts the younger generation’s health and well-being, along with how it affects the local education system.

Organised by the Macanese Youth Association (AJM) in conjunction with the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) and the foundation, the talk, which is open to members of the public, will also explore ways to balance and manage time with and without screen time, including with the introduction of AI, according to an AJM statement yesterday.

The statement noted that the private Catholic university’s Faculty of Health Science Dean and Macao Observatory for Social Development Director Jacky Ho Chong Kin (何鍾建) is the invited speaker, while it will be moderated by AJM Vice President Jerusa Antunes. It is slated to start at 6:30 p.m. on the day.
