“In view of the safety situation in Israel and Iran”, the Macau Governmental Tourism Office (MGTO) urged Macau residents yesterday not to visit either country for now.
According to an MGTO statement yesterday, local residents currently in Israel and Iran are urged to ensure their personal safety as top priority and leave either country as soon as possible.
The statement pointed out that the bureau continues to pay attention to the “safety situation” in Israel and Iran, MGTO advised local residents to pay close attention to the situation in Israel and Iran and avoid visiting both countries.
As of yesterday, no enquiries or assistance requests from local residents had been received, according to the statement.
MGTO sent reminder messages to Macau mobile users with Israel’s roaming service on Tuesday and Wednesday. Meanwhile, as of yesterday, no Macau mobile phones were on the Iranian roaming service, according to telecom operators, the statement said.
