In order to help Macau enterprises better understand incorporation and registration policies in the Greater Bay Area (GBA), a joint seminar was held on Friday by the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and the Guangdong Administration for Market Regulation (GDAMR), according to an IPIM statement on that day.
The statement noted that the event was held during the “2025 Guangdong & Macao Branded Products Fair” (GMBPF) at Cotai Expo of The Venetian Macao, where the event attracted nearly 80 business representatives and provided practical insights into cross-border business facilities.
According to the statement, the seminar featured updates on commercial registration services in the nine GBA cities, the special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macau, and nine cities in Guangdong Province: Dongguan, Foshan, Guangzhou, Huizhou Jiangmen, Shenzhen, Zhaoqing, Zhongshan and Zhuhai, as well as the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Co-operation Zone in Hengqin. Representatives from Macau-invested tech firms shared their success stories on leveraging IPIM services to establish operations in Hengqin, the statement said.
The statement also said that an official from Guangdong emphasised the province’s commitment to “soft connectivity” of regulations and enhancing services to support Macau investors, with the aim of ensuring “zero concerns”. The session also included overviews of Hengqin’s business environment and policies promoting economic diversification.
The event was part of a cooperation agreement signed earlier this year, reflecting ongoing efforts to deepen Macau’s integration into the national development framework. The statement noted that IPIM will continue to host themed events to strengthen Macau’s ties with the other GBA cities and support local businesses in expanding regionally.
