Macau GDP rises 4.7 pct in 2025: preliminary data

     Macau’s gross domestic product (GDP) rose by 4.7 percent year-on-year in real terms to 417.28 billion patacas (US$51.91 billion) last year, according to preliminary figures announced today by the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC).

A DSEC statement noted that last year’s GDP corresponded to 89.6 percent of that in 2019, the last year before the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the local economy for three consecutive years (January 2020 - December 2022).

In the fourth quarter of last year, GDP grew by 7.6 percent year-on-year in real terms to 115.39 billion patacas, according to preliminary data, the bureau said. Total exports of services increased by 9.8 percent year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2025, fuelled by a 15.4 percent rise in visitor arrivals.
