Secretary for Economy and Finance Lionel Leong Vai Tac said yesterday that residents with disabilities who are receiving the government’s Temporary Measure of Income Subsidy are not entitled to receive the government’s disability pension or provisional disability subsidy.
According to Leong, disabled residents can only receive one kind of subsidy from the government.
Leong made the remarks yesterday when replying to an oral interpellation by directly-elected lawmaker Wong Kit Cheng during a plenary session of the legislature.
