Over 60 percent of local youths have no intention of buying a flat because it’s unaffordable, according to survey findings released by the local Sin Meng Charity Association in a press conference yesterday.
The group, headed by lawmaker Melinda Chan Mei Yi, commissioned the Macau Polling Research Association to conduct a survey about local youths’ demand for purchasing property and their opinions about the issue.
The survey was conducted from May 22 to June 8, collecting 1,004 valid responses in phone interviews. The respondents were aged 18 to 40.
