The Sports Bureau (ID) said yesterday that three more of the city’s public swimming pools – the Taipa Central Park Swimming Pool and Carmo Swimming Pools in Taipa, and the Hac Sa Park Swimming Pool in Coloane – would also be affected by the current “lifeguard shortage” as its service provider couldn’t provide enough personnel.
It is the fourth statement that has been published by the bureau since Friday regarding the “lifeguard shortage”.
Originally, the Taipa Central Park Swimming Pool was open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. for most of the week, with a 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. break for lunch. However, under the new measure, the pool will only be open from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily, according to yesterday’s statement.
