Northern District Community Service Consultative Council member Cheong Kin San said that many residents had spotted potholes and other kinds of damage to the road after the recent torrential rain y, urging the government to fix the deteriorating roads.
Cheong made the remarks during a regular meeting of the government-appointed council in Areia Preta.
Cheong said that some of the potholes are quite big, and it was challenging for drivers to drive over the potholes in the rain, adding that it was even dangerous for scooter riders. He underlined that the increasing road traffic and unfavourable weather conditions had led to the deterioration of the roads.
