Indonesian couple nabbed for loansharking & robbing compatriot

The Judiciary Police (PJ) have arrested a man and a woman from Indonesia for loan sharking and robbing a female compatriot, PJ spokesman Lai Man Vai said during a special press conference at the PJ headquarters in Zape yesterday.

According to Lai, the suspects are a 38-year-old man who is a waiter at a local sauna, and a 35-year-old female nightclub manager. Lai didn’t reveal the surnames of the two suspects, but noted that they are boyfriend and girlfriend. The victim is a 38-year-old who works as a domestic helper for a local family.

On Monday, the Judiciary Police received a report that she had been robbed of her smartphone and travel documents by the suspects, Lai said.
