A car turned turtle in Taipa yesterday afternoon after being rear-ended by a car travelling behind, the police said.
According to the police, the collision occurred at around 4 p.m. in Avenida Olímpica. The two cars were travelling in the direction of Macau Stadium.
When one of the two cars slowed down and stopped to give way to pedestrians on a zebra crossing in the avenue, the car travelling behind crashed into the back of the one in front as the latter’s driver failed to brake on time, according to the results of a preliminary investigation by the police. No pedestrians were injured.
