Addressing yesterday’s Q&A session in the legislature’s hemicycle, Secretary for Transport and Public Works Raimundo do Rosario said he will not apologise for an incident in which the court ordered the annulment of the government’s contract with a consortium for the Mong Ha social housing project.

Rosario said that he will not make the apology because it was not the fault of the officials under his portfolio, as the incident was different from the incident in which the government wrongly calculated the marks for the rival quotations submitted by several construction companies for the building of the depot of the Light Rail Transit (LRT), for which the policy secretary apologised in October.

Rosario made the remarks when answering a question from non-establishment lawmaker Sulu Sou Ka Hou on the first day of the two-day Q&A session about his portfolio’s policy guidelines for next year.
