Secretary for Transport and Public Works Raimundo do Rosário said yesterday that he will consider retiring from the government after the current term of the government ends in December.
Rosário made the remarks while speaking to reporters after attending a “Dialogue between Young People and the Secretary” on the campus of the Macau Polytechnic Institute (IPM) in Zape. The topic of the event was about Macau’s infrastructure planning and development. Directors or deputy directors of the 12 entities under his portfolio also attended the dialogue with the institute’s students.
The local government will change on December 20, 2019, marking the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Macau Special Administrative Region (MSAR). Rosário took office as the secretary for transport and public works on December 20, 2014.
