Local National People’s Congress (NPC) deputy Lao Ngai Leong said yesterday the view that Macau’s return to the motherland made Macau better was not just a slogan but most local residents’ “true feeling”.
Lao also said that after Macau’s return to the mainland, local people’s livelihoods, public security and the business environment had become much better.
However, he also pointed out that Macau is limited by its land size, so Macau needed regional cooperation to achieve economic diversification.
