The Macau Federation of Trade Unions (FAOM) plans to hand a petition to the government on International Workers’ Day next Wednesday, urging the government to amend the Labour Relations Law with the aim of further protecting the rights and interests of local employees.
The federation, commonly known in Cantonese as Gung Luen, held a press conference at its headquarters in Patane district yesterday.
The federation is Macau’s largest trade union organisation.
