Choi is a dermatologist by profession and painter and calligrapher by passion.
The exhibition is hosted by the Macau Foundation (FM).The objective of the exhibition is to promote cultural exchanges in the calligraphy and painting sectors and also to foster the development of Macau’s cultural and creative industries, according to a statement by the public foundation.
In addition, Choi wants to promote Chinese traditional art through the exhibition, according to the statement.
The exhibition aims to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the 20th anniversary of Macau’s return to the motherland, according to a statement.
The artist, who is in his eighties, wants to encourage fellow senior citizens to have a “sense of self-worthiness”, the statement points out.
The exhibition runs until Thursday.
It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free.
