The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested a 17-year-old schoolboy on Wednesday for scrawling graffiti on a wall of a building in Travessa da Paixão – a cultural heritage site next to the St. Paul’s Ruins landmark – last Tuesday, a PJ spokesperson said during a regular press conference yesterday.
The city’s official cultural heritage sites comprise four categories, namely monuments, buildings of architectural interest, ensembles (such as compounds and complexes), and sites.
Travessa da Paixão is a listed cultural heritage site in the ensemble category. The Travessa da Paixão heritage site covers most of the buildings in the sloped short alley next to the St. Paul’s Ruins landmark.
