The Judiciary Police arrested a man for cheating his former female boss out of HK$2 million when she asked him to pay money to her bank account, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Ho Chan Nam said during a regular press conference yesterday.
Ho identified the suspect as a 37-year-old man surnamed Kam. He told the police that he is unemployed. The victim, who is in her thirties, owns a shop selling loose tea in Nape. Both are local residents.
The crime happened and was reported by the victim on July 31 last year. The suspect worked as a part-time sales assistant in the shop at that time, Ho said.
