The value of Macau’s retail sales dipped by 0.5 percent year-on-year to 18.06 billion patacas, while the sales volume dropped by 0.7 percent, the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) said yesterday.
The value of sales of adults’ clothing and motor vehicles fell by 18.1 percent and 9.3 percent respectively, while the value of sales of cosmetics and sanitary articles rose by 15.9 percent and the one of communications equipment grew by 12.9 percent respectively.
In the first three quarters, the value of retail sales fell by 0.9 percent year-on-year to 56.42 billion patacas, while the volume of sales dropped by 0.9 percent.
Meanwhile, Macau’s consumer price inflation rose by 2.86 percent last month, according to a separate DSEC statement.
