Chunambeiro Garden in Sai Van will be temporarily closed from Monday until October as it will undergo an optimisation project that will include more playground space and the addition of lactation rooms and pavilions, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) said in a statement this week.
Wednesday’s statement noted that the park is known for its children’s playground and children’s electric car driving zone, which is a popular place for family fun.
The statement said that the plan would see the park’s layout redesigned so as to increase the “sense of space”, and safety measures in the driving zone would be enhanced. There would be more “toy sets” with different themes in the park, and offer more choices of e-cars for children to have fun driving.
According to the statement, the park’s safety mats will be replaced and the facilities will be divided into areas for children of different age groups.
The statement said that the project was slated to be completed in October this year.
