April visitors rise 11 pct to 2.7 million

Macau’s number of visitor arrivals rose 11 percent year on year to 2.74 million, the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) announced yesterday. Month-to-month, the figure was up 9.7 percent.Overnight visitors (1.4 million) and same-day visitors (1.3 million) increased 17.7 percent and 4.4 percent year on year respectively.Visitors’ average length of stay rose 0.1 day year on year to 1.2 days. Police nab man for cheating gambler out of HK$1.3 million
