The private Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) ranked 244th among 250 universities worldwide in the Times Higher Education’s (THE) 2022 Global University Employability Ranking, being the only university to make the list in Macau for two consecutive years, the tertiary education institution said in a recent statement.

The statement noted that the rankings were released on November 23. They are compiled by a consulting company called Emerging and is exclusively released by THE, which Wikipedia said is a British magazine that specifically reports on news and issues related to higher education. The list also includes 19 universities in China, which includes Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.

The ranking, according to the statement, shows which universities are considered by recruiters at top companies to be “the best at improving student employability and workplace readiness, and which schools’ graduates are more likely to be favoured by top employers”.

The rankings were voted on by over 10,000 senior managers from 24 countries and regions, of which two thirds work in large enterprises with more than 500 employees, the statement said, adding that they were asked to choose up to 15 universities with the best graduate job performance from more than 1,000 universities worldwide.

The statement underlined that the rankings focused on six key drivers of employability, which were graduate skills, specialisation, academic performance, digital performance, work expertise, and internationality.

The statement said that more details can be found at: https://www.timehighereducation.com/student/best-universities/best-universities-graduate-jobs-global-university-employability-ranking.
