40 Tourist Police officers start to assist visitors
The Tourist Police unit run by the Public Security Police (PSP) was officially established yesterday, with its 30 officers being deployed across the peninsula’s city centre while 10 members are on duty in Taipa and Cotai, the Public Security Police said in a statement last week.According to the statement, the Tourist Police unit has been in operation, as a pilot scheme, in the city since April 2015, with the aim of providing better assistance to visitors in the city’s top tourist spots.
