Macau observatory says 'high' probability of hoisting Typhoon Warning Signal No.8 tomorrow
   The Macau Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) said this morning that the probability of hoisting Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 between midnight and tomorrow morning is "high".       According to the bureau's website, Signal No.8 indicates that  "winds with a sustained speed of 63 to 117 km/h are expected or blowing and the gusts may exceed 180 km/h in Macau".    Macau's tropical cyclone

    Tropical Cyclone “Wipha”,  currently located near Luzon in the Philippines, is expected to enter within 800 km of Macau by early tomorrow, the Macau Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) has announced this afternoon. The bureau said it will issue Tropical Cyclone Standby Signal No. 1 accordingly. Due to the cyclone's broad circulation and continued intensification, there is a high probability that Storm Warning Signal No. 3 will be issued later
