Grand Coloane Resort’s Café Panorama is set to host for one night “The Taste of Tradition” Indian Flavours Buffet tomorrow, the hotel operator said in a statement earlier this week.
The buffet will feature Indian delicacies and entertainment “rich in Indian Culture”, according to the statement, with food to be prepared by the resort’s Chef Nathi Singh, a master of authentic Indian cuisine with years of experience perfecting Indian dishes.
A raft of Indian and Western appetisers will be on offer from spicy chicken salad to samosa and prawn koliwada, along with other hot appetisers and soups, the statement said. A panipuri station, meanwhile, enables one to make their own “snack masterpiece with creative fillings”.
The statement added that the buffet showcases the best from North and South India, with butter chicken, lamb rogan josh, and paneer butter masala from Northern India, and Tamarind fish curry, Goan style chicken xacuti, and squid curry from southern India, the statement noted.
Delicacies like the herb-marinated mini sirloin steak, Portuguese-style pork belly, turmeric and chilli grouper fillet, and garlic-infused oysters and scallops will also be on offer at the outdoor grill, according to the statement. Singh will also prepare desserts such as saffron rice kheer, fried gulad jamun, and the carrot and ghee cake, alongside some favourite Western desserts.
Moreover, kingfisher beer, mango lassi and Masala Chai will be on offer, while the night will see energetic Indian music and mesmerising Indian dances.
The buffet is priced at 388 patacas per adult and 188 patacas per child. Bookings can be made on 8899 1021.
