The Sports Bureau (ID) announced in a statement yesterday that refund arrangements for the 2022 Sands China Macao International 10K’s registration fees have been made by the Organising Committee.
The event, which was organised by the Sports Bureau and the General Association of Athletics of Macau and title-sponsored by Sands China Ltd, was cancelled owing to the COVID-19 pandemic situation and in line with the Health Bureau’s (SSM) pandemic prevention measures, the statement noted.
The statement underlined that the fees will be automatically returned via the participants’ payment method and account used at the time of registration.
Alternatively, the statement pointed out that participants can opt to receive event souvenirs, which include a commemorative medal and a towel, instead of the refund. Participants can sign up through the ‘澳門特區體育局’ (Macao SAR Sports Bureau) WeChat subscription account mini programme from April 25-May 9.
The statement added that participants can then fill in the same personal information used during registration, choose whether to collect the souvenirs at the Macau Grand Prix Building or the General Association of Athletics of Macau, and the date and time of collection. Participants can obtain an electronic voucher for collecting the souvenirs from May 5-August 4.
Further details can be found at www.macao10k.com, while more information can be found by following the ‘Macao Major Sporting Events’ Facebook page, ‘澳門體育’ (Macao Sports) WeChat public account and the aforementioned subscription account.
