Observatory says mercury to drop to 13°C this week

The Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) said yesterday in a statement that it expects the temperature to start dropping from today, with it dipping further to around 13°C on Thursday and Friday.

The observatory forecast that a strong northeasterly monsoon will gradually move southwards from today, bringing significantly colder weather to Macau.

According to the observatory, the temperature will drop further later this week, with a low of 13°C on Thursday and Friday and the weather will be cold and dry.

The weather will be cold, with northerly winds of force 4 to 6 and gusts, the observatory forecast.

There will be significant temperature differences between day and night. The observatory forecast that the temperature will rise again at the beginning of next week. The public is advised to pay attention to the weather changes, according to the statement.
