Local subsidised crèches will accept enrolment from March 1 to 26, and the enrolment list will be announced on May 2, Social Welfare Bureau (IAS) said in a statement yesterday.
Of the subsidised crèches that will be admitting children this year, all will accept online applications, except for four that require self-submission of applications, the statement said, adding that parents can apply for more than one subsidised crèche for their children, but they can only choose one after they have been admitted.
For the convenience of parents, there is a pre-registration service in the online application, through which parents can obtain a “Child Enrolment Registration Code”, which parents can use to enrol their children in different subsidised crèches without having to input the information repeatedly, the statement said.
For parents wishing to transfer their children to another crèche after they have already enrolled in one, they need to withdraw before enrolling them in a new crèche, the statement said, adding that parents can download the transfer statement and authorise a friend or relative to complete the transfer procedure on their behalf, which can be accessed on the government’s official childcare services information website at www.childcare.ias.gov.mo.
