The four-day 2025 Sands Shopping Carnival is slated to be held at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo from July 17-20, with Macau’s largest sale event again offering a free business platform for local small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and Sands retailers, along with shopping and other activities for members of the public.

Organised by Sands China in conjunction with the Macau Chamber of Commerce (ACM), the annual family-friendly Sands Shopping Carnival marks its sixth year and will feature over 580 booths across nine exhibition zones, including a “Play and Fun Zone” for children, according to a statement from the integrated resort operator yesterday.

During the event, shoppers will be able to get discounts of up to 90 percent on a variety of products, the statement said, while there will also be activities and games for children, among others. Moreover, there will be an international-cuisine food court area.

“The carnival aims to create synergy between local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Sands retailers, local NGOs, and the arts and culture community” in an effort to attract residents and consumers from Hong Kong and elsewhere in the Greater Bay Area (GBA), according to the statement.

Sands China Executive Vice Chairman Wilfred Wong Ying-wai was quoted by the statement as saying that the carnival has drawn over 540,000 visits since debuting in 2020, garnering praise and becoming one of Macau’s “signature summertime events”.

“We are pleased to once again offer a free business platform for local SMEs and Sands retailers, while injecting fresh elements into the carnival to cater to the latest spending patterns of local residents and tourists, providing them with exclusive shopping and leisure experiences” Wong said, adding that the shopping carnival  will also have a raft of free activities and competitions for people in the GBA to join.

The first day of the carnival will be an invitation-only preview session, while the free-admission carnival will be open from noon to 10 p.m. for the rest of the period.

Booth registration is free and can be done until 6 p.m. on May 28 by visiting https://1ticks.com/event/ssc2025-SME-application. More information is also available on The Venetian Macao’s official website and the Sands Cares Facebook page.

Exhibitors can also call 2855 5000 or email info@macexpo.com.mo for enquiries. More information about upcoming activities will be announced in due course.
