The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) announced in a statement on Boxing Day that it has launched a call for proposals inviting local catering operators to provide light meals and beverage services during an outdoor concert scheduled for January 10-11 at the Macao Outdoor Performance Venue in Cotai.
According to IC, the invitation aims to enhance supporting services for large-scale cultural events while creating opportunities for local food and beverage businesses. The statement pointed out that the application period opened on Friday and will close at 5:45 p.m. tomorrow.
The call is open to all locally registered catering operators, noted the statement, which did not elaborate on the two-day concert.
The Macao Outdoor Performance Venue is located at the junction of Avenida do Aeroporto and Rua de Ténis in Cotai.
The bureau stated that six food stalls will be set up on site to provide light refreshments during the two days that the concerts will be held. Each selected company will operate one stall and will be responsible for its own profits and losses, as well as for obtaining any required licences in accordance with existing regulations.
The bureau added that the applications will be assessed based on various criteria, including the feasibility and completeness of the operating proposal, compatibility with the atmosphere of outdoor performances, menu diversity and reasonable pricing, suitability of food offerings for the event, aesthetic and functional design of the stall, and the team’s experience in catering operations and management.
Application guidelines are available on the bureau’s website. Interested parties may submit their documents in person at the Cultural Affairs Bureau building in Praça do Tap Siac during office hours or by post, no later than 5:45 p.m. tomorrow.
