The government aims to start the construction of a skyway along a major avenue in the city centre of Taipa this year, the Lands, Public Works and Transport Bureau (DSSOPT) said in a statement yesterday.
According to the statement, the 700-metre skyway will be built along Avenida de Guimarães. It will start from the station of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) outside Macau Stadium, continue over Rotunda do Estádio and along the avenue before ending at Rotunda Dr. Sun Yat Sen.
According to the statement, stairs, escalators and lifts will be set up at every access point along the avenue.
