An event entitled “Walking Culture – Outdoor and Indoor Collective Exhibition” by 13 artists who hosted exhibitions at the Taipa Village Art Space between 2016 and 2020 is being held by the Taipa Village Cultural Association at the very same venue.
According to a statement by the association, the exhibition showcases a diverse collection of artworks such as paintings, illustrations, photographs, movie posters and zines, hand-picked by the 13 artists: graffiti artist P.I.B.G. (Lam Ka Hou); photographic artists Hugo Teixeira and Chan Hin Io; illustration and visual artists Fan Sai Hong, Ana Aragão, Un Chi Wai and Rui Rasquinho; painter Lio Man Cheong; mixed-media artists Tong Chong, Allen Wong Soi Lon, Bonnie Leong Mou Cheng and Kitty Leung Mou Kit; film director and producer Maxim Bessmertny; and indie publishing collective ZINECOOP Hong Kong.
The statement points out that the exhibition brings together a unique combination of outdoor art installations and interior displays of selected works by 13 individual and collaborative talents from Macau and across the world, creating a visual spectacle richly endowed with cultural heritage, interactivity and art appreciation.
Going beyond a conventional indoor display, the experience takes art lovers outdoors, encouraging them to stroll among the heritage spots and historic lanes of Taipa Village as they explore the culture, the charm and the distinctive atmosphere of the district, according to the statement.
The exhibition runs until March 31 at the Taipa Village Art Space gallery at 10 Rua dos Clérigos in Taipa. It opens daily from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free.
