Several residents handed a petition to the government yesterday, asking for help in solving their dispute with the developer of the flats they bought in Zhuhai.
Along with lawmaker-cum-unionist Jose Pereira Coutinho, the residents handed the petition, addressed to Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On, to an official outside Government Headquarters.
Speaking to reporters, Mak Chang Keong, a representative of the local buyers, said that when they bought their residential units in Hills Beyond Sea, a gated community in Doumen district in Zhuhai, the developer promised that there would be lifts to take them up the hill to their flats.
