The Civic and Municipal Bureau (IACM) announced yesterday that some 6,000 potted lotus flowers of a 100 different kinds will be displayed in 13 parks, 17 squares and main streets to make the city more attractive.
IACM senior officials including executive committee member Leong Kun Fong yesterday jointly presided over a press conference to announce a raft of activities for the celebration of the city’s 16th Lotus Flower Festival
According to the press conference, the annual festival will start on Saturday next week and run until June 26. The lotus is the city’s official emblem.
