Wynn joined forces with the Macau Federation of Trade Unions (FAOM) recently to launch the “Wynn Care Career Advancement Scheme”.
The scheme provides professional and systematic training for local employees, the unemployed or students, enabling them to understand the career prospects in integrated resorts from the perspective of a realistic working environment.
On Saturday, Wynn held the certificate presentation ceremony for the scheme’s inaugural course, the “Culinary Art Training Programme”, in which all 20 participants had passed the assessment.
Wynn Resorts (Macau) S.A. President and Executive Director Linda Chen Chih-ling said at the ceremony that the severe global impact of the pandemic has brought both challenges and opportunities to occupational transformation.
Chen said that in order to help local employees achieve diversified professional development and provide them with value-added training opportunities, Wynn and the FAOM co-hosted the “Wynn Care Career Advancement Scheme” to provide local employees with further inspiration and practical experience via training in different areas and positions, thereby enabling them to be well-equipped and ready for various development opportunities.
FAOM President Ho Sut Heng said that she hopes to help Macau residents enrich themselves amid the current challenging economic climate through the scheme with Wynn.
Ho said that by learning highly practical professional skills, participants could enhance their competitiveness in the job market. She also encouraged participants to upgrade their own qualities in different vocational development directions such as employment, job transitions and entrepreneurship in the future, which would also help deepen the promotion of the moderate economic diversification in Macau.
