Macau’s 1st Lego store opens

Macau’s first Lego Certified Store has opened, according to a statement by the Danish company.

The shop is located on the third floor of the Venetian resort in Cotai.

The statement noted that Macau’s first Lego Certified Store had its grand opening on Saturday. The statement said that as the first Lego shop in Macau, its exterior features a display of Macau’s main square, Largo do Senado, built with Lego blocks.

The statement pointed out that the shop also displays a 3D Lego figure which is 1.4 metres tall. The statement noted that 86,800 Lego blocks were used to build the figure in 438 hours (i.e. in over 18 days). The statement also said that the shop also features another locally-themed display –Taipa Houses and figures – built by Lego master Andy Hung.

According to the statement, the shop is open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
